Styling Handmade Crochet

As a fiber artist, doing wearables has been my jam!

I have been crocheting for the last 3 years and I must say I have definitely gotten better since then.

This was the patchwork cardigan is the second project that I completed from start to finish and I love it so much.  Although I will be needing to redo it cause it’s waaayyyy too big. I am so proud of how it came out and pushing thru the not knowing how it would turn out.

The colours I chose were a mix of everything that I love — pink, black, yellow, green and a splash of purple.

As the world pulls back on plus size fashion options; learning to and mastering crotchet has put me in the position to always be able to have cute ass clothes and the ability to brag that what i'm wearing I made myself.

Learning to do a skill like crocheting has really allowed me to slow down and really center myself (which is such as trip as a neurodivergent person) it has been the first time I was able to quiet my mind; coupled that with the ability to make my own clothes is cool af.

The Cardigan was hand crocheted by me, I styled it with this Save By The Bell crop top that I got from Old Navy on a clearance like 3 years ago and I wear it all the time. I finished it off with these purple paperbag waist pants  that are from Torrid.

Style is personal and an expression of yourself - this cardigan has me in my feelings so much!

Thank you for taking time to read this blog!
